  • Unlike a car seat, booster seats in and of themselves don't provide any addition restraint in and of themselves. The seat belt does the primary work in the vehicle.

  • School buses don't have seat belts (the big ones anyways). There are many safety and practical reasons why they don't. It's actually safer for them not to wear seat belts in modern buses.

  • Clearly people (including myself) don't want to do ALL of their shopping on the internet. People do have a need to see, touch, and feel certain types of products in person. There can be vast, profound differences when doing so.

  • Walking away isn't the only option with a home. You can often negotiate terms, such as letting them know you will be selling due to a job loss.

  • What if that same "buyer" was renting and lost his job? They go on welfare, and welfare pays the rent, right? Except that welfare is a set amount of money, and some apartments won't take it.

  • We're in this boat ourselves. We've been saving money renting the past several years. We didn't buy because the market was too high. We were planning on just sticking it out renting for a few more years.

  • The Medicare system is bankrupting us for two reasons: 1- More people on the system is costing more. 2- The system was raided for money a long time ago, and it was never put back.

  • Part of the problem here is a group of people who keep harping on "accountability" over and over and over in the name of penny-pinching. There is a point where too much of this is harmful.
